    Very true there. Great catch!

The E6420 and E6520 do not have the same bulge, so they should be able to do 180 degrees.

The specs I listed are the new ones. The 6420 right next to T410 will be the same size and a pound lighter. With the 9 cell battery, the weights will be close to the same.

Ill believe it only when they get reviewed :D
Still would love them to be tad bit thinner.
Then again, looks like some Latitudes will be getting full Mg frame both for motherboard and screen as well, as we know Lenovo ditched LCD support Mg frame on their T410/T520 laptops, well see how new ThinkPads will compete with Elitebooks and Latitudes.

All I care is build quality, battery life, lowest possible, thinnes weight and best price :D!

Thinner than an *equivalent system* would be better.

Well, if its thinner than previos gen and thinner than competition then Im fine.
If its thinner than competition and at the same time not exactly slim then some people might object, because some expect things to become thinner, lighter, smaller as technology advances.
Arrandale/Sandy Bridge are supposedly smaller than Core 2 Duo machines, yet most of laptops remained the same thickness or even grew bit bigger when Arrandale was introduced and it might be that with SB nothings gonna change but overall looks.

    lighter!

I see one feature I like: the Page up and Page Down keys near the front where they are more accessible. :) However, that is not enough to make me get my credit card out.

As for reducing the thickness, there's little scope to do much while using a 9.5mm thick optical drive and retaining reasonable travel on the keyboard. My Toshiba R500 has a 7mm thick optical drive but they are rare and would mean that little else would fit into the media bay.

Is the i3cpu/chipset Sandy Bridge for the 6220?? It did not explicitly state so in the article (or I missed it).

    Thanks,

Just noticed the pics on the Engadget site might be wrong.

The first 2 pics in gallery they posted right after the Dell announcement has to be the Latitude 21xx - not the 6220. The 6220 "hands on" that Engadget posted shows a machine that was not among the other images in their gallery.
