    Hi Revit Users

While you are in NVIDIA Control Panel, Do Not Use your wheel on your mouse; use the navigation bar on the Right side.

Try these settings in NVIDIA Control Panel; Right-click your Deck-Top and select NVIDIA Control Panel. In the 3D Settings section, select Mange 3D settings > on the Global Settings Tab select > 3D App-Default Global Settings, scroll down to > Vertical sync select > Use the 3D application Setting. At any time while you are in NVIDIA Control Panel, if you need information on a setting press F1 and type in the settings name.

Try these settings see pictures, Then Render that test Project.

At the end you were right to choose the 820 if you use more Revit that other softs.
I will console myself with the fact that I will be able to use the computer for other light tasks in the same time as rendering... :)

I'll have to try those setting as soon as I get mine.

As for the Interior Rendering going only 20 min. at 150dpi. That is a vast improvement even over my desktop Precision 5400 with Quad core 2.0 and 8 gigs of DDR 2 RAM at work.

I hope this thing shows up soon but I'll wait a bit longer just to get a more stable system.

Anyone think its worth just getting a 6400 instead? I think you could max out a 6400 for less than 6500 partially maxed. Hope that makes sense to everyone.

I think the general opinion on this thread is that the i7 is a very worthwhile upgrade, and that the 6500 comes out ahead in a performance per dollar comparison. Besides that, the m6500 has several options that just aren't available on the m6400

Well, I ordered mine though our Company dell Rep. and recieved a 32% discount putting my total purchae at 3400.00 I may need to call and upgrade to the 3800 graphic card though from all I keep reading. The only reason I chose the 2800 instead was I thought it might help a bit with the power draw but I have a feeling I will not be using this machine without the plug very often.

Guess it will end up pushing my ship date out again!

    Hi Manny,

This settings doesnt affect the render time. So far theres no "Performance Driver" yet for revit from Nvidia to speed up interaction (3dconexxion is also having problem hooking up with Revit) between user and application. But as of now. The M6500 is fast, very responsive. Any improvement in the GPU software driver is a plus.
