    Multiple Monitors

Anyone running more than 2 screens. I want to run at least 3. On my Dell M4300m, only way is to use a usb dvilink.

I have not tried anything with the M6500 and figured I would ask if anyone else is using more than 2. Can I use the E-port plus and hook up two dvi and 1 vga?

    thanks,

    mike

I tried to connect 3 monitors (Dell 2407WFP + HP LP1965 + Old Dell 19') with DVI and VGA on the E-port plus but it did not work.
As I have problem with the video card, I will confirm you that after the replacement...

I am looking for a nice large monitor (30' too expensive) on the Dell web site.
Some of you mentioned the U2410. Is it the best monitor in that range of price? what is the difference between HDMI and Displayport?

    Thanks a lot.

I don't have my docking station yet but I tried to connect two other LCDs (DELL 3008 WFP via DisplayPort + EIZO L887 via DSUB) and run them together with laptop LCD and nVidia control panel said: It's possible to run only two displays on this graphic card, which is quite disappointing. Two 30" should be enough but it's good to use also other displays when available.

With the E-Dock I run 2 24" monitors. 1 over displayport and 1 over DVD-D. I have tried to also enable the laptop display at the same time as the other 2, but was not successful. Was only able to run 2 monitors at a time. Not sure if this is a limitation of the Nividia hardware or Nvidia software.

Am I missing something or were the USB 3.0 drivers pulled from the Dell support site. I know they were there, but I can't seem to find them now.

Hmmm. I have the SSD generation 2 and tried this at the command prompt and it responded:

    DisableDeleteNotify = 0

Going to reboot to make sure AHCI is turned on.

EDIT: nevermind... Apparently a return value of 0 means TRIM actually IS enabled.

"They have not made any mistakes yet."

This statement pertains only to the addition of USB 3.0 functionality in the M6500 and how they handle a month's worth of existing M6500 users.

You have to put things into perspective.

For me, usb3 is a dead born technology. I think we can also assume the first released driver won't be perfect. Do people prefer a stable usb2 or an immature usb3? Moreover usb3 is not really very useful because we already have esata.

Nevertheless, I care a lot about sata 3. That's really a shame intel did not implement it in PM55 motherboard.

I prefer dell focuses on screen problems and new bios options than this usb3 only few people will use... If dell can do both, fine! :)

Agree 100% (OK, maybe 95%) :) USB 3 will be useful sometime in the future, but at the current technology refresh rate, we'll all be buying new computers in two years anyway. :)
