They have not made any mistakes yet. Much depends on how they handle this.

Actually, I think after all the problems with just getting a system and terrible planning on Dell's part I will be canceling my order tomorrow. I'm not about to spend 3,500 dollars just to be let down.

The most disapointing part is I have had this XP1210 for over 5 years without a probelm and I was hoping to get the same out of th m6500 and more. Well that doesn't seem to be the case.

I ran the disk info and it says my C drive is 91% healthy and D drive is 89% healthy.

Is this normal? How do I tell if TRIM is not working? I read that even if TRIM is enabled, if the disk was not formatted first, it may not be working.

    thanks

I feel your pain. I was also planning on canceling my order again due the numerous delays etc, but my wife insisted that I don't . Guess she's tired of hearing me whine about not having a M6500. :D

Can the systems they are sending out have USB 3 capability and a bios or firmware update will enable it?

I agree that they can handle this but for me it is still a mistake.

They announced the M6500 beginning of december. The first day when the M6500 was online I passed an order of 8 systems. They had to cancel it for missing items. I passed an new order (for only one sytem that time) mid-december hopping to receive it before the end of december. I received it finally the 25th of january and with important latent defects!

They known it was the "fastest laptop" (and more expensive) in december and they were aware of the delivery problems (and the frustration of many of us). Now they announced an update (after just 2 months) of the system when some clients did not receive yet their order...

I know the competitors are arriving with sexy products, but it is not a reason to be disrespectful towards their excitated/frustrated clients!

    (sorry for my english)

I really don't want to cancel, but money is short these days and dell clearly is not prepared to provide a quality product with quality service. :(

most of "us" will not go through this forum I guess.

I have just sent an email to the product manager, hopefully he will reply me and give me more info on this.
