Nope. Did not work. I will move to the back of the room and stay in NTSC land until Dell or someone figures out whats going on here. Maybe its the nVidia causing it. (but more likely me doing something wrong I would think)

After reading these horror stories, I don't understand why anyone would want to buy one of these. The machines, software, and support seem riddled with failure upon failure.

I explained before how to check it. Go to msconfig, then to startup and uncheck everything linked to nvidia. Reboot. See what happens.

I don't think nvidia graphic card is the problem because I remember somebody (maybe you!) plugged an external screen on the 3800M and the colors were fine.

Hi keithsnell, I just used your profile and I found the blue changes a lot and grey looks nicer. something i want to ask:
    1. before you deselected the control point, did you use NTSC or Adobe RGB? If i use NTSC and deselected it, do you think the system will keep the NTSC mode to be default?
    2. i am using windows 7 and cant find the color plot, thats the microsoft website i can find, but it is for XP. I want to compared it to the adobeRGB color space http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/colorcontrol.aspx

Unfortunately, one of the drawbacks of the Colormunki is that the software is VERY limited. It doesn't give me the capability to check the gamma. I will eventually load Argyll CMS or BasICColor so that I can gain more control over the calibration. Until then, I just have to trust that the Xrite software is optimizing the profile with the few settings I have available. (I can set luminance and target white point, and that's it.)

My only way of "checking" the profile right now is by examining the profile gamut, and by comparing against other calibrated monitors.

Short answer to your question: I don't know. :)
