Thanks Mike. Your screenshot answered my questions, so an addition screenshot isn't necessary. :)

Oh, I fully agree with that. However, what I was saying is that if you use that 64GB SSD, and have just about all of your data and programs on a conventional HD, then you will not see much of a performance benefit, precisely because the major benefit wil lbe faster boot times, but normal operation will not be affected much at all. This is very different from your system, where you have most of your programs and data on the SSD, which leads to a significant increase in performance.

Myself, I think that these SSDs are still at the bleeding edge of technology, and reading posts from people with SSDs confirms this impression every day;) Thus, I'd rather wait for maybe a year or so, when I can maybe score dual 500GB SSDs, with all the kinks worked out, for a somewhat reasonable amount of money.

My rep told me about the May release. Also today I asked him to expidite my order since our company just bought 3 new workstations @ 2,200.00 a peice. It was the least they could do, but here is the message he recieved after trying to expidite the order.

Order Number: 150***** has been updated.
    Update Time: 2/22/2010 4:30:09 PM
Comments: Expedite Denied: Order is on part shortage for LCD. Next ETA is close of business 2-26

I hope that means they should be getting in LCD panels on 2/26!

Great.....I'm sure they're aware that more than a few people are trying to order these units....lost sales is not something any company wants. My rep told me today 'no word as of yet' on USB 3.0 integration...i5 means nothing to me as I want a quad core.

I don't think the word "expedite" means the same to dell as it does to the rest of the world. The expedite request was approved for my order, but it was delayed 5 times.

I'm with you! They really need to do somehting about the screen shortage and start taking care of the customers.

They keep pushing us off and people will start jumping ship over to HP!
