Not to mention the financing deal I got ended yesterday and if I was to reorder I would have to pay the full finance charge! Its hard to turn down a fixed 3.25%. :)

Havotec Has allready confirmedd that they are working on a way for the early orders to be able to swap out the sisterboard the USB 3.0 is on. I just hope they come out with that fix soon!

Oh and here is the latest excuse from Dell on parts.

Expedite Denied:FRNJN-order is on parts shortage for assembly cover. ETA is close of business 3-8

Since my estimated overnight delivery date is 3-9 I doubt I will be seeing it on time.

I'm really unsatisfy by the color gamut of that WLED screen, it's poor, it's useless for even web design, in Photoshop, shading colors look horrible and so steped...
I think I'm just gonna send it back to Dell... :-(

Could someone please repost the RGB LED gamut ?
(If you have a probe you can download free ColorHCFR program to get the gamut screenshot)

Yep, this is the reason why the M6500 will be my last computer related product from Dell. I reached this decision after a lot of careful thought, but IMO, it seems we are supporting the lack of reasonable customer service. If this means I will not have a working laptop in 5 years, I'm willing to do without one if I can't find one that meets my needs from another vendor. :)

    Hi YBcold,

That was part of my reason to keep my order for the Covet as well. However FWIW, Dell has apparently extended this deal to March 31st.

It would almost seem as if Dell has the same 50 people or so who just continuously cancel and reorder the M6500, and there may only be 5 people at all who have taken delivery of one (that have not returned it yet, and are not plannign to return/reorder!).

My order was delayed today (surprise!) from 3/8 to 3/16 estimated delivery date. I still won't want to cancel even if USB 3.0 Covet becomes available by the 31st, because with what's going on with Dell these days, by the time I get it the M9000 will be out in Q1 2011, with an i9 processor and will automatically do your taxes while you watch a movie :)

I'll just get the daughterboard. For now eSata and NAS work just fine for me for external storage.
