Thanks for the tip- sRGB looks terrible no matter what I do. Your explanation about the masses makes sense. I would miss the rich colors. Truly a quandry.

    Questions
    1. I can confirn that DV is set to 0 and things still look bright. Not sure exactly what you mean by lowering saturation. No matter what levels I'm selecting I'm still seeing those extreme colors pop.

    2. Are people noticing the ALS issue with the WLED screen too?

Hey guys, new drivers (WHQL) are available for the Quadro FX Notebook series of graphic cards. They are available here. The only issue noted so far is PhysX is not automatically installed although the latest version is included. I had to install it separately.

Thanks for the response Bokeh. I am not an audiophile and don't know much about audio systems but I do appreciate good sounding music reproduction. I've been using a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card which was originally hooked up to 7 Creative speakers and a subwoofer which were okay at best. When that speaker system failed I bought a pair of Audoengine 5's (powered speakers) which have been pretty nice. Now I've ordered an M6500 to replace my desktop. Any suggestions on how I should run the Audioengine 5's with my M6500 when it arrives? I'm thinking I need some kind of external sound card to hook up between the M6500 and my speakers. Would the Zero Headphone amp be what I need? I did order the E/Port Plus with my M6500. Thanks in advance for any more suggestions you may have.

My m4400 Precision sounded great running direct off the internal sound card with powered speakers. Don't think you need any add-on, unless you simply want to the best...but I couldn't tell the difference, I don't think anyway.
Ahh...what the heck, I'll check one out too.....LOL

I'll try plugging my Audoengine 5's into my M6500 when it arrives and see what I get. Have fun with your new toy when it arrives tomorrow. Wish mine were arriving tomorrow.

The soundcard on the m6500 is one of the best for laptops specifically geared toward music people. Or so the Dell uk manager guy on YouTube said.

I agree with that for sure, the popping (issue) feature cannot be found on any other laptop. :D
