Not sure if this is a general problem but the Touchpad driver did not work after installing todays Windows updates for IE8 on Win7 x64. The Dell Touchpad setting dialog (that ugly thing) did come up but neither could I control the devices (stick or pad) nor could I open the gestures dialogs. Just nothing happened when clicking on those links.

Reinstalling the dell driver did not help.

I had to uninstall the mouse device from device manager, reboot twice, reinstall the dell touchpad driver, reboot and the touchpad worked again. Even with the gestures I had configured before I uninstalled the dell tp driver.

Hth if somebody runs in this issue as well.

Thanks to havoctex, he just confirmed that the U2311H and U2211H are for external monitors.

just tried them out. No luck. My controller gives the same error so the device cannot start. :( everything come back to normal if I disable USB 3.0 from the bios. I can't work out a solution.

    thanks for sharing anyway.

Depends on who you ask, but it appears so far that the LGs are more rare.

I have it all working with the NEC USB 3 driver #1.0.18.0 under win 7 pro 64. I have been using usb 2 devices with no issues as well since I turned on usb 3 in bios a few days ago.

The only thing I can think of since I am using a Nvidia card is that if you have an ATI card it may be a video driver issue in this instance causing USB 3 to not work as expected. Just a thought.

    Hi John...

this is a good new and bad news at the same time (so maybe my USB 3.0 is defective then).

May I ask you how you got it worked? did you install the driver in a specific way? I really tried everything here....

The also did a fresh install of the system as when I got my M6500 the video drivers were completely messed up along other small things but nothing...the USB 3.0 card is not working.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
