    giakomon,

I noticed in your device manager it has listed Intel 5 series 3400 Host controller. My system lists Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller. Maybe that is the conflict. Could the main USB driver be the issue? Might be worth seing if you can change the controller by uninstall and then reboot and allow Win 7 to recognize and install the generic driver.

Try this; plug your display in and remove it, and plug it back in. to see if the
    driver will Install itself.

mmmm...not sure I got what you said.
plugging my display (via dysplayport), removing and the plugging it back the screen flash to black for a moment when in both ways.

Unfortunately I need to render some stuff now so I will not be able to make further test for the rest of the day. Anyway ATI card and USB seems have no relation at all with the problem. The NEC chip just cannot start.... I'm almost giving up.

    Hi giakomon,

Ok; I found this on usb.org, read the PDK Technical Guide first, it’s on the last line in the second paragraph on the site. Then Download USB30CV x64msi for 64-bit Windows. SuperSpeed USB Software and Hardware Tools

And post back if it works or not...

    Hope this helps...

Which output do you use from the M6500?

The Dell E-Port dock has the coax digital audio output on the back so I use that one for the M6500. The iMac has the headphone/toslink optical output jack, so I use that one for the iMac. The ZERO has 1 toslink (optical) and one coax (rca style) digital input. I can switch between the computer sources on the front of the ZERO.

I spent a good part of the morning listening through my Klipsch s4 headphones plugged directly into the headphone jack of the M6500. The M6500 by itself sounds pretty good with these headphones - but they are really easy to drive. The bass is nice and full and the highs are not shrill. The highs do roll off a little when you turn the volume way down (15% or so) in W7, but that is a function of digital volume controls manipulating bits. If your speakers have an analog volume control, I would leave the M6500 output up higher and control volume with the volume control on the speakers themselves. As with all things audio your mileage may vary.

I don't have my other cord to drive the Sennheiser HD600s from the 1/8th inch headphone jack on the M6500 so I will have to wait and see how it drives the very tough load they present. The fact that the ZERO does a great job driving HD600s is why I use it.

I ended up with a non-covet, but absolutely love it.....pure awesomeness (hope I didn't get too technical)

I didn't have to do a clean install, everything is set up now and running like a raped ape. Very solid, functional, beautiful, fast and colorful :)
