Any miniPCIe SSD can be used since Dell has attached an I/O controller to the slot, just have to check physical dimensions. There is no reason why you need two HDD/SSDs in RAID, but from what I've heard, Dell will use the miniPCIe SSD as the main drive and the 2.5" ones for data, so they would RAID the drives to make them visible as one drive.

The vistas do look more impressive on the Dells :D

But yeah - they look far more as they should on a regular and even wide gamut external monitors, which reveals the depth of my problems really - and none of the profiles I've downloaded from here, as well as what I've calibrated, look right. As much as I'd like to keep the orangeness, now that I'm actually using these are do-eveythinger DTR's I'm increasingly feeling that this is a liability.

If Dell can't sort this out with the next replacements (and there are other outstanding issues with my Covets) I will probably return the machines and head over to HP for 8740w's to complete my transition away from Dell altogether - from what I've experienced so far and read in general, they don't seem to get the fundamentals wrong that often.

Voge - Don't say that! I'm supposed to get my Covet this week, Provided its not delayed again, and I'm hoping it doesn't have any issues. Especially since the Non-Covet I have now is working great!

Autodesk Revit Arch 2011 came our Thur. last week and after I installed it I had a pop-up that said my graphic card has not been optimized for use with Revit and I need to update my driver.

Anyone here about a new driver release for the Nvidia 3800?

Sorry to hear about your troubles. The fundamentals with regard to my m6500 are outstanding.

BTW, I've found a great fitting notebook cooler for the m6500:

Thermaltake Massive 23 ST (Black) Fits the bottom of the m6500 darn near perfect and flat, with a very large fan in the center with a blue LED. It's USB powered with an inline on/off switch. I've had many such animals, and this is a winner. Works good/Looks good. I bought it at CompUSA (Tiger Direct) for 39. samolians. FWIW>

Thanks Mannya, but the Revit installed just fine and I have not had any major issues with it, I'm just wondering how long it usually takes Nvidia to update their drivers to support these types of programs.

Well, this is a bit upsetting, The Autodesk supported hardware shows the 3700m and the standard 3800, but doesn't even list the 3800m

    so this is interesting:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_quadro_fx_2800_m_us.html (just click it has a tid bit about ISV drivers)

When I look on the m6500 driver page it does have ATI, NVIDIA, and ATI ISV drivers, so thats interesting. I don't remember the ISV drivers being there 2 weeks ago. Thus it seems the ISV certified drivers must come from dell and not nvidia even though they make the card.
