Sorry, you can't stop it, it's a hardware driven feature.

Anyway, it just wants to save some energy when system is in idle. Performance wouldn't be reduced.

Fair enough and I understand what you're referring to (i.e., LED backlights pulse at varying frequencies to create different brightness levels).

While I have not noticed this in person I also know that some are more sensitive to this issue than others. You'd probably never be fully certain until you have the computer in front of you.

    lads, anybody have this problem?

i just got the new vostro v13 with the celeron 743.

    my issue is twofold:

    1. my 1397 card will not connect to my wireless network.im talking it wont see the ssid at all. i have 2 routers at home, 1 with mac filtering and another with dd-wrt with WPA-PSK TKIP. none appear. however my neighbours routers with wpa psk or wpa2 psk all appear (also the weps or the unsecured.

is there anyway to get this thing to work??

    2. i have a mini pci-e option gtm378 wwan card - ive inserted it but on startup the system doesnt even post. ive removed and the system starts again.

    3. i took out the 1397 card and inserted a 4965agn mini pcie card in the space where the wwan would have been but system hangs again on post, making me think the bios is locked to reject anything from that slot??

would be grateful for some answers..

i have dell bios A01 on this thing when it starts. Cheers all

I can't notice it neither but judging by those laptops I came across, displays which flicker lead to more tiredness. So can you make this phone test so we'll find out if it flickers or not?

CrystalCPUID has a signed copy of SysInfoX64.sys so test mode is not needed, just replace the file.

    You're a legend mate !!:D :notworthy:

It worked. Thanks, now running my SU7300 @ 1.63Ghz on Win 7 64Bit with no temperature issues. Plus the ram (which is 1066 spec) is no longer running at 800, but rather 1000!!.

    Windows Experience has gone from:
    4.1 - 4.6 Cpu
    4.7 - 5.1 Ram
    3.2 - 3.6 Aero Graphics
    3.2 - 3.3 Gaming Graphics
    5.9 - 5.9 Hard Drive

    :D

I have to inform all users of that modified setFSB:

If you are troubled by blue screen issue under heavy usage after overclocking, pls try to set ram timing at 7-7-7-20 before you run setFSB. The reason is: ram is running at fsb800 by default, so the timing is 6-6-6-18, after overclocking, it works under fsb1000, but the timing is still 6-6-6-18.... So, if you set ram timing at 7-7-7-20(default timing for DDR3-1066) before overclocking, it will be more stable under fsb1000.

You can use SPDtools to set ram timing.

Here is a (crappy) video, and those lones show up mostly in low light on my phone anyways.
    Also, can't embed videos.......
I went from brightest to lowest then back up one notch. Forgot to put that in, lol.

Thank you! I noticed that the lines were almost non existent at the beginning, then they showed up and faded at the end. Did you change something on your laptop/phone while taking the video, or these lines are showing irregularly?
