Right your recovery partition could be borked, aka it doesn't work. Tends to happen alot on Dell's for some reason or another.

I love the idea of this laptop. Wish it had a high capacity 9 cell though.

How does the SU7300 compare to the i3 380UM (Vostro V130) in real world performance?

About the same I would think. The i3 will multitask a bit better, but brute force processing should be about the same.

Right the ULV i3 will beat the C2D hands down for any multi-threaded application. That and the IGP on the i3 smacks the 4500MHD around and is alot more potent, though IGP is IGP. I think the ULV i3 consumes slightly more power with IGP on the CPU die.

The i3 definitely consumes more power. Its a trade off between slight increase in processing power or a bit more battery. Honestly I love the c2d ULV chips. More then enough power and great battery sippers.

Well the i3 does but it includes GPU on the die.

    ULV Core 2 10 watt
    GS45 chipset 12 watt

    ULV Core i3 + IGP 18 watt
    H55 chipset 5.2 watt

So it isn't significantly more but the i3 is much more potent processor.

Only if you're doing something that's either multithreaded or encoding will the i3 make a real world difference. The ulv i5 and i7 on the other hand make a lot more difference :)

Oh well yeah lol they got Turbo Boost, and you might be able to get something outta ThrottleStop. Man I would totally love a V130 with ULV Core i series processor....so who wants to buy my Latitude 13? :p
