I know, there are many 667MHz RAM chips, but I don't know which ones will be technically and physical compatible.

This is gonna be my first laptop and I was really suprised to find out that my config would ship out only by August 15 even though I ordered it on July 20...:( ...... the status says Production but does it usually take so long??

The config I finally settled for was the Vostro 1400 with the following specs:

T7300 processor, 14.1 WSXGA+ with true life, 2 GB Ram, 120 GB HD, the NVidia 8400 graphics card, Intel a/g wireless card and the 2 year warranty (with everything else being the default options).....the net cost came upto $1146.11 ...... I'd have gone for less RAM if the coupon didnt force feed Dells RAM to me as part of the deal......but is that price significantly less than what i could get with other laptops (or other dell series) with similar configs??

PS: Is the WSXGA+ 's improved resolution going to make any significant difference on a 14" screen??

PPS: I opted out for the bluetooth reciever.....but you can always fit an external on on it rite??

    They don't have WSXGA+ for 14''....

Oh and i have to tell you that for 20 bucks you might as well get an internal bluetooth...

Why mess with usb sticks? (it's freakin 20 bucks...)
