The GPUs in these laptops is separate from the motherboard and not soldered on. It should be the same motherboard (not confirmed yet). If you buy the system with Intel graphics only, it comes with a "placeholder" card where the grahpics card would go that allows the pass-through connection for the rear mDP and HDMI ports (which are located on the graphics card itself). Also, it comes with a lower-end heatsink assembly, it looks like. So, if you want to install a proper dGPU later on, it should be possible (if you can find a place to buy one from) but you will also need to replace the heatsink assembly.

Don't trust Dell chat for anything.

Anyway it is already confirmed that the P3200 in the 7730 is full power NOT max-Q

Very interested to see if P4200 is full power (about 115W)

    P4000 on P71 is 70~75w

    P5000 is around 100 (I haven't fully stressed this)

This time around, the P4200 is meant to be the replacement for the P5000 (from Nvidia). That may give hope for at least 100W

IIRC we had three people seeing 2666 CL19-19-19-43 coming with their machine. For me adding 2 sticks with that timing worked flawlessly.

We already know for sure that, at least for now, the P5200 on 7730 is about 110w or so and it is a max-q version.
However, not sure if in the future Dell will unlock it to 150w.
The machine seems to be able to handle the 150w card. Since 110w P5200 is about 77-78 Celsius. If 150w I would expect it be around 90 Celsius or so.

Highly possible P4200 is about 115w or slightly less, But a 115w P4200 should be the maximum in any case.

What I am disappointed is that they limit the power of CPU to be 60w. I would say even a 65w-70w could be much better. Why limit it to just 60w on 7730?

With P5200 only and with 97wh battery, it can hold 3-6 hours. I would say typically 3.5-4 hours. Don't expect too much from this battery.
With intel GPU enables, it can hold 4-7 hours or so. typically 4-5 hours.

How about us keep telling their customer service that we want the power limit of course to 70w, and vpu to maybe 120w. Only discuss here they will Never know.
