Hi! Thanks to baniels, LPTP-LVR, GordonHo and jenus for Your ideas on how to empirically check whatever it might be a ccfl/2ccfl/rgbled screen. I still haven't received any bounding answer from the tech support, said its due to the warranty transfer etc. Mine also came from dell outlet. But,I am still a bit confused with this. I will post here when any written statement comes from dell. C U untill then!

I believe you should be able to get the audio in sync with the software. I can't speak for windows media player, but many media softwares have this feature.

It's possible that you TV has some feature for audio sync as well, if, indeed, your tv is what is handling the audio signal. However, as is the case with a lot of AV hardware, it may only have the ability to slow down the audio in the video is advanced, not the other way around.

In your case, the solution is finding a media software that will lag the video a bit.

I disabled DCP, but my wired network connection still gets disabled whenever I am away from the M4400 for any length of time. This is really annoying as I can't even leave it to do a full system backup over the network.

Ok that sucks...but did you set the system to go in standby or sleep after no activity for a certain time? If so, just disable all standby and sleep in the high performance profile and set it to that if you need the system to keep running when you're gone.

When I have the power adapter for my M4400 plugged in, it makes a buzzing via the audio out. Does anyone know how to fix this? If I unplug the power adapter the buzz goes away.

Do you have any lamps or heavy electronics connected to the same out?

Maybe you have a dimmer switch plugged into the same circuit. Do you have a lamp or light somewhere in the house? If it's not a 'dirty' AC outlet, it may be a faulty power supply.

No, the power settings in Control Panel are all set to stay on. The only thing that becomes disabled is the wired network connection. The wireless connection and everything else remain running. I've also noticed that the Dell security software mistakenly reports that the TPM has been disabled until I reboot (and the BIOS still says it is enabled), and until I reboot, fingerprint reading fails.
