@ofelas: Where did you fit your 256GB Samsung SSD & 500GB Scorpio Blue HDD?

Actually the pics make it even more sure you have the RGB LED. The light bleed isn't even nearly as bad as with the 2CCFL...with mine the bleed area is between 3-5cm from the bottom. There are also 2 darker spots (small) in the bottom left and right corner when having windows open (ie no black screen)

I think you can be pretty sure you've got the RGB LED ;)

Wise: Mine has the same symptoms in the exact same places. I will check the cable later when I get back.

That sucks. I thought one of the advantages of the RGBLED would be no light bleed :(

They occupy the same hard drive space but at different times (2 different operating systems, I don't run them together).
My 4400 came with a 128GB SSD which has been set aside for my upcoming Latitude E4200 as an upgrade.

edit:- just learned that the E4200 won't take a normal SSD...I may have to rethink the E4200 then.

The bleeding is very subtile. You just see it when the whole screen is dark...

It depends where the LED are located. When they are behind the scren you have almost no bleeding. When the LEDs are put on the top and bottom of the screen you have the same behaviour like with normal ccfl screens. On your pics I don't see the classic ccfl bleeding. The lighting is uneven, but not in a typical bleeding way... (sounds weird).

My PCMark Vantage score 4900 on my specs, how many did you all score with the same spec?
