Go to the Dell download page and download the manual for the m6400. It has complete instructions (with pictures) for changing the screen as well as instructions for pretty much everything else.

ok here is what happened to me , i got the new top with the lcd and took out the old one and replaced it then put everything together and turned it on , nothing came out on the screen at all , so i tried it couple of time disconnecting and connecting and nothing happened then i installed the one i had before and was working and now its not working at all , it lights up and some sword of barely visible lines comes out that covers almost 20% of the screen and everything else is white , i hear window vista sounds loading but nothing on the screen , what do i do and what happened? i am scared that my laptop might got ruined.

    Nice!! Is it flying yet?
Where did you get the SSD's??
Do you have the model # as well?
    Are they 2.5" or 1.8"?
Do you notice any stuttering with the ssd's?
Some of them seem to be doing that.....

I'm looking at getting a Covet with SSD's.
Dell Canada does not offer the SSD's as Raid (only 64GB i guess).
I can't even figure out who makes the SSD's for Dell... I called and they told me they were Seagate. I don't believe that...

    Appreciate your help !!!

    Well, Dell Canada sucks!
I can only build the Covet with Raid0 64GB SSD.
If I pick single 128GB SSD the second drive option SSD is only 64GB.
If I were to purchase the second drive separate they only sell Patriot. No Samsung SSD's as separate purchase/option....
    I can't have Raid0 with SSD's by different manufacturers !!
    Seems retarted to me..........

Why don't you just pick up the SSD's from some other retailer. You'd probably save some money and get a faster drive. I'm really checking out the OCZ Vertex's.

I was looking at those as well. Some people suggested the Samsung but can't find them anywhere.
OCZ had issues with their first versions of SSD CORE.
Where are you planning to buy them from? Newegg?
