Anyone using SSD's in the M6400 in RAID 0?
If yes, can you help out?
I'm trying to figure all this stuff out until my M6400 arrives. By creating this thread I hope others can benefit from this instead of searching and reading 100's of pages...
Since prices have dropped and they are more affordable now some will want to explore this options but not everyone is aware of advantages/disadvantages, benefits... etc.

    Are they performing as expected?
Can the M6400 handle the SSD Raid 0? (on paper -yes, I know. real scenarios)
How did you align the partitions?
What is the stripe and offset size?
How is the machine regarding Heat?
Any other configuration steps, tweaks, tips, etc....
Do you have any benchmarks or tests?
What are the options? What to avoid?
What's your take on it? Are the SSD's worth?

    Any problems with the heat?

Do you have any info on partition, stripe, offset?

Secure it to the desk!!! ... just in case it tries to fly :) :) :) :)

I've been looking at the OCZ forums and a lot recommend 128 stripe.
Have you enabled write caching on the drives? Apparently it makes a big difference.

If you need fast read speed, go with the Intel. The Vertex Turbo is a waste of money since its very expensive and offers little more than the normal Vertex.

"The Intel drive is a Multi Level Cell (MLC) NAND drive with 10 Parallel Channel Architecture and a claimed sequential read of up to 250 MB/s and a claimed sequential write speed of up to 70mb/s. "

thats the new drive from intel 70mb? lol the vertex turbo does something like 200mb/s
