    Hi everyone
I'm new here and I have some question about my Vostro 1500 that received two weeks ago
1-i use modified driver(16904) in this laptop and the question is why I cant use it in battery mode (performance for example decrease from 22 frame to 6 frame )but when using official driver from dell site I can use it in battery mode but I cant overclock it in battery mode or ac power
    2-why I can't oc in battery mode?

The way your fan operates has a lot to do with what your laptop is doing in terms of processing. The fan on my Vostro blows out hot air when heavy processing power is needed. Other times, I can feel a slight air movement, and sometimes nothing. I haven't looked to see if the fan blades are actually turning, but even when it is blowing out hot air, the fans are extremely quiet. So, it's not hard to imagine that fans could be operating at times when we think they are completely stopped. In any case, if your computer is blowing out hot air, that's a good sign. If it is blowing out cool air, then your fan is running when it does not need to.

I got a Dell Vostro 1500 few days back and I am experiencing some issue with its headphone jack...looks like there is some hardware related issue which is leading to the Noise when I put on my headphones...This noise persists even if I am not playing any audio...Does somebody know abt this issue and probably the fix or workaround ?

usb headsets you just plug ( sometimes install software that comes with it) and go and yes it does give stereo effect and you need nothing special but a usb port. I have also seen converters that are like mini soundcards usb to 3.5mm headphone jack. I would personally just buy the headset... me im buying external speakers... usb based and just plug my shure ear phones in there when required

Uhhh I don't think you realize just how loud we're talking here... this isn't just typical optical drive rotational hum/vibration, this is LOUD vibration. I came on here to ask the same question, it makes audio CD's / DVD's impossible to listen/watch when it's in the higher rotation. The entire optical drive shakes and rattles, I can literally hear the thing from all the way across my house.

Is there a solution for this?
