Hey...installed Win7 pro last night....I've got the old d:/ recovery partition from the orignal Vista installation.

How can I make a win7 recovery partition out of that when it's only 2gbs?

If not, maybe small linux partition for emergency boot?

This partition is at the front of the drive and can't think of a better use for it.

    thanks

EDIT: ah, I just mounted it in the c:/temp folder to do something with it :)

    Hi everybody,

I found an interresting issue after I installed Win7 Pro x64 on my M4400.

Sometimes I am using my DisplayPort (with Dell HDMI conversion) to watching films on my LCD TV. After I installed Win7 Pro x64 I can only watch the video but I can't hear any sound. It just doesn't work at all :-( Previously I used WinXP Pro x86 and everything works correctly.

    Any help please?

no problems here with the audio drivers. the fingerprint reader is the one that seems to be misbehaving for me. so far everything seems smooth and good.

    Hi guys,

Just a quick note, you don't need the Dell System Software if you're running Windows Vista or 7 (despite what the instructions say).

    Kind regards,
