I was just curious, as I'm in the process of installing new hard drive. I'm still struggling with whether to install Win 7 as AHCI or IRRT. I tried one install in AHCI, but loaded the Intel SATA / AHCI drivers. It appeared to load the entire chipset software this way, but don't know of an advantage. The only thing that bothered me with loading "Windows 7 AHCI driver" was the 4 or 5 IDE channels that appeared under IDE Controller. I wish Dell would allow the "Data Striping" to be turned off via IMSM. Just seems useless with a laptop. Thanks
