    The answer didn't look clear from the discussion (or I just missed it being early in the morning) but the solution I found for the SD driver was to download the Ricoh driver from the "Vista" drivers on the dell site. It worked fine under Windows 7 Professional.

    You just select Vista from the operating system drop down menu on the drivers and downloads page.

    EDIT: forgot to mention you still have to select the correct "bit" platform (I.e. 32 bit/ 64 bit)

    I've installed the "Vista" drivers and no problems. It works fine under Win 7 Pro :)

    Probably why i've never had the issue. When i installed Win7 there were no drivers online yet so i had to get the Vista64 drivers anyway.
    But good to know for when i get my retail copy ;)
