It's maybe too harsh of an assessment but still... those reviews make a refurbished 6930p more and more attractive to me.

mine has wifi, keyboard flex is minimal and doesn't present any problems, I havn't noticed the fan until you just posted. just put my ear to it then and yeah its always on but its certainly not loud. This is the first laptop I have owned and come to think of it, I would be concerned if the fan wasn't always on with the amount of hardware i know is under the hood of this thing.

I have to admit, the fan noise isn't bad, and I don't mind it being on. Just the rest of the stuff concerns me at this point - flexing KB and lid.

noworn3ver whats wrong with the cooling system? it keeps mine plenty cool.

ok i read your other post in the main dell vostro thread that the fan runs constantly. heres the thing no fan would cause it to cool better only quieter. the system fan runs very low(i thought it stopped spinning) but it never does stop spinning just slows way down which is fine with me other wise the chips will get hot then the fan will spin up on high to cool it down then over time you will get what is called chipcreep by keeping the fan constantly running it i assume keeps the processor/vcard in the same thermal range so therefor not causing the chip creep. which makes sense to me. but 80% of the time the system is silent for me.
