I was torn between the 3300 and the 3400, not only for the size, but also the HDMI, speaker count, and weight. However in the end the the 3400 won me over.

The one thing that kind of annoys me is the screen resolution, but I should be fine. I will check it out more once I get it.

    This is my current specs:

Estimated ship date was 4/9, but now its 4/30 :( - however it could be sooner...who knows.

I will post pictures as soon as I get it.

Before someone says something about a 32-bit OS you have 4 GB of RAM...in short I know :) I already have a license from another machine (Win 7 Pro 64-bit) that I can use.

Some pics (sorry for them being blurry, camera was on the fritz - also at work, so sorry for the mess):

You can use the same license to install 64-bit windows :) How much did this all cost?

    Enough...lol...hehe

Honestly, it cost $975 after tax and shipping (next day). I figured it was worth it since the accidental warranty alone is quite a bit. I went through at least 4 reps to get this low :)

EDIT: I just saw a Sony at newegg, virtually the same specs except for the 5400 HD and 330 video card. Its also a bit more too...

quick question, does it come with optimus switching? i've read that 310m card + i5 proc. is all the hardware needed for it.

To be honest, I don't know. I will know for sure once I get it though.

This is all they have on the site regarding it:
    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/vos3400/en/index.htm

"Setup and Features Information Tech Sheet"

It looks like it doesn't but we will see.

Well let's cross fingers then, i've been waiting for something this nice to dump my m1530. Here's hoping for 3+ hours away of the plug with moderate use.

Same as mine specs except for the color, warranty and the OS :) I like these specs. As of right now, mine is in pre-production (just was ordered today) so I hope to get it soon.

I have not ordered yet... really would prefer a black body, but doesn't look like that will happen. Have a few other things I don't like about unit, but guess I'll have to get over it... still using my 7 year old 600m... Wife has an earlier Vostro, no problems there. My biggest dislike is I prefer the inputs on the back of the unit so they hang off my desk and not on it.

You can always go with the v13, but the power isn't there as well as the graphics :/ Pretty much all of Dells line now is like a "octopus" of wires coming out from the sides.
