    hey iggiepop and others
where did you get this price 649? and what do you think that wil it be expensive on the retail shops or at dell site and secondly there was a guy discussing about fan problem of 1310 on another forum as it is too noisy so I am keen to know if this problem is sorted in 1320 or not and how about the cooling system? I am very much concern about this heat problem,
anyone here purchased it or not yet?

    regards

$649 is the base Canadian price (Dell.ca); I've configured it with Vista Home Premium, the 9300M GS, and the better wireless options ($909CDN).

I have no experience with the Vostros, only the Latitudes; the price of the new 1320 is very enticing. I would be using the machine for home use, not business though and is exactly what I am looking for in a 13" machine.

NotebookReview.com's own review of the older 1310 here was positive...

I'll be coming from a 4 year old Inspiron 6000 and the vostro 1320 beats it in every way. So while it may not be the best laptop on the market currently, it is certainly an upgrade from what I have been using. And for this price, you can't get much better. I think I will be placing my order in the next few days. Apparently the current ship date for these are already up to May 1st, so I need to do it soon because it will just keep getting later lol.

I was actually debating the upgrade; if I take the Dell Wireless 1397 (standard) without Bluetooth, I can save $70...

I just decided to pull the trigger and purchase this, but when I went to the site and tried to get it, I get this message:

Looks like they might be out of stock :( I really hope this comes back online soon at the same price.

    Edit-
Never mind, it is back up again.

Woohoo...Order did go through for the basic config with a 2.4 for $449. It just showed up on my 'My Orders' page.

In the sale selections, under warranties, there was a pull down which reduced the price by a further $200 which appeared to be a 'no warranty selection'. It was a Dell mistake which they corrected and then honoured the basic warranty and price so...$449 Cdn it was.
