Your right, it's gone. It was in the application group in the drivers download section. Now all they have is a patch and text document file.

If I can find the original file (it was a zip file) maybe I can upload it to a FTP type site where it can be downloaded. I look for it.

Go to the outlet page and sign up to be notified when a coupon comes out.

You just missed a good one that expired yesterday. They had 25 % off all Latitude models. All of the 'Z's' are gone now but there will probably be more.

    Oh I see, thank you.
How often do these coupons come out? And how often do the Z's reappear on the outlet site? I saw 2 last night, but I didn't want to buy them just yet.

Hey I just got a 128GB ssd, 2gb ram Z, and it came with a broken webcam so the techs came and fixed it.

but the dell webcam runs extremely slow with webcam central and other apps that use the webcam (the autofocus is especially glitchy)

    is this normal?

I have some of the same issues, I don't really use it much so I have just left it alone. Not sure if it could be fixed with a driver update or what, but mine is constantly 'focusing'.

Just got my Z (4GB/128GB) last week (love that 25% off outlet deal). A few questions:

    1) Is the battery jiggly / loose on all of them? Is there a fix? It is the only thing that feels "cheap" on this laptop. My new E4310 is solid as a rock.
    2) Is there a way to check if the unit I have has the inductive charging or wireless docking options in it? Know the codes for that?
    3) Is there a way to get a good deal on the inductive charging base / wireless dock?
    4) Is there a blu-ray drive available?
    5) Will there be 64 bit drivers?

Lots of questions, I know. I love this thing and plan to keep it a long time.

    Ara

I got one too with the same coupon, what a deal for these laptops.

The battery does wiggle a bit, it's normal for this machine. I had one with an 8 cell a few months ago and it wiggled a lot. I ended up returning that one due to havd drive issues.

I don't believe there is a blue ray drive available from Dell, but I'm sure a 3rd party drive would run fine. I doubt if there will be any 64 bit drivers available as this machine is not available with a 64 bit OS. I believe other users have installed W7/64 and used drivers from other Latitude models without any problems.

    Enjoy

Thanks Waltz. Does the 4-cell wiggle less?

yeah there's a little less wiggle with the 4 cell, probably because it's smaller.
