It's not a prototype. You will be even more impressed when it's released. Light, thin, robust with fingerprint reader, optical recognition, and a solid-state drive. $2k est.

The day thin & light netbooks will shine, is when the screen will be OLED, instead of the LCD. Following the technical specs of the screen it should consume much less than a LCD (so either longer battery life, or smaller battery), ultra thin display, 8-bit, less expensive to produce, no more view angle problem, and can even be flexible. Now, THAT would be interesting to have.

Another new member with a first post on this subject :D
I still think it's fake...don't ask me why someone would want to do this because it's completely useless, but why are there ONLY new members posting on this?

    You really are skeptical.
What does it take to prove to you that this is real? You have pics, specs, a price. The only thing you are missing is a release date.
Perhaps only new posters are saying they have it because they work in a place that is privileged enough to get an advance look, they google for more info, and they come across this thread.

Still, although this could be real, I will believe it when I see an official release. Until then, it could just be a prototype that doesn't ever get released - this happens all the time.

yeah, or....it's a guy who can use a bunch of different ip's and creates new users that all chip in saying they saw it etc.
But indeed you could be right, i don't care that much anyway because it doesn't look the least bit interesting for me....couldn't handle any of the apps i use on a daily basis so...too bad. Ofcourse i like to stay informed about new lappies so that's why i'm curious but this just still seems odd.
The lack of a displayport really makes me think it's not actually a new laptop because that's one of the things Dell has been championing in ALL their new stuff. And now they're set to release a new flashy and cool lappy without it!?
The line itself seems useless anyway because i think it would be more likely that Dell releases a larger Adamo rather than try and run two almost the same lines.

Don't know if the lappy is real or not, but the pictures posted do show a displayport.

That made me laugh. I don't use photoshop on a regular basis, but even I could create that.

Official word yet? No? Well then I'll believe it when I see it.
