You can watch the video clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-V01PmnSRI

I also bought this one to work with the Dell Precision M2400. It is perfectly fit and locked. I put the Samsung 64GB SLC SSD as for the internal HDD, and put the seagate 7200.4 (the G version) 500GB as for the modular-bay HDD. A small bolt is putting to lock the ejector.

The M2400 can boot from either the modular-bay HDD, or the internal HDD.
If the internal HDD was removed, I can also boot from the modular-bay HDD alone. It is working great.

    I recommend the newmodeus kit.

I just ordered one from them for my M2400. Shipping to Hong Kong (with tracking) was expensive. Will see how it turns out, am planning to use it with the original HDD which was displaced by an OCZ Vertex Turbo.

Note that there is a 5% discount code (FB072808) for caddies from their facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/NewmodeUScom/25657159120?v=info).

I'm torn. The newmodeUS caddy looks to be the best functionally, but having an official Lenovo drive provides a little bit better confidence in product quality. Both are the same price so I'm not sure which to get! Ahh!

The Lenovo-branded adapter will require some modifications to work in the Dell Latitude/Precision! The generic one fits fine without any mods.

I just received the newmodeus caddy. Is anyone's completely flush with their laptop? mine juts out a tad (1mm). I'm wondering if I should try to get a replacement.

I have posted on Dell's IdeaStorm website (it's sort of an official Dell forum for new ideas and suggestions). I asked Dell to make official 2.5'' HDD caddies for their Latitude and Precision laptops. You can find the link here.

If you agree that Dell should offer this caddy, you only need to register there (only asks for username, password and email, nothing else) and vote on this idea. Dell has actually reviewed and implemented some of the ideas posted on this website and I think it is our best shot at having a proper, flush HDD caddy.

IdeaStorm in concept is good but I have yet to see any good solutions being implemented unfortunately.

I still think it's our best shot at getting ourselves heard... apart from emailing Michael Dell (which I will eventually).
