neither have i, sadly. does it fail out with invalid data? I had to let it run for probably 45 minutes on attempting to read the bin file.

did you just do this for the update and then switch back? Mine is on IRRT, but if it is changed to either other option, the system will looping BSOD if i let it get past the bios.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Jonas8890, do you get an extra audio icon in the systray and HDMI audio settings in Control Panel when you connect the TV thorugh HDMI?

I have an E6400 with HDMI audio drivers installed and I have an HDMI audio device in Device Manager but there is no HDMI sound device listed in the Sound applet in Control Panel. I haven't connected anything through the DisplayPort so I wonder if perhaps the HDMI audio device is not properly activated before you connect something to the port?

    FYI, my E6400 HDD is a Seagate Momentus 7200.3 ST9160411ASG with G-force protection: www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/laptops/momentus/momentus_7200.3/

It's quiet and seems fast enough. Vista performance is 5.9 in my system. Haven't tested the G-force protection yet!

Looking at the specs, the next size up from 160GB jumps up to 2 disks and more heads.

Any software that understands NMEA sentences and can read from COM7: (you could probably re-assign that if the software only understands e.g. ports up to COM4)

The system seems to allow several programs to concurrently open the COM7: port, which makes sense as in effect it's read-only.

    That would be nice.

With the "enable jack monitoring" option selected, the IDT driver detects a connection to the line-in/mic socket, it would be nice if it also detected a connection to the headphone socket and automatically removed the bass-cut filter that is in use unless internal speakers are disabled.

Well I took the risk and ordered a refurbished one (its actually my friend's), so I'll get some pictures up before you :).

Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain a Latitude E6400 Vista Business restore CD? The one my friend got has XP Pro installed but a Vista license. Or does it come with the Vista CD too?
