Bios version A11 has been released on 12.20.2008.

Has someone tried this on yet?

How long have people been waiting to get their E6400s? Mine has been "In production" for over a week. I really wanted it by Xmas but it doesn't look like that'll happen. Production problems maybe?

mine was shipped on the 18th and receiving it on the 24th....so unless you picked overnight shipping, you likely won't get it.

doesn't it show you an estimated ship and receive date?

I agree with you. For someone looking for a new laptop, positive comments are really useful too! So thanks..

Not yet: The release notes say:
However, it's quite possible that Dell have made some other unmentioned improvements (eg noisy fans when docked). Someone will have to look and see if there is a Christmas present to match the Easter Egg in the ADT audio driver update.

Quite true. Forums rarely represent the average situation. Most of the remaining issues are with the bloated Dell software.

Hey, just set up my E6400 in the basic e-port and I'm experiencing sound quality problems - connecting to my stereo setup via dock the sound level is really low (specially at lower frequencies) while direct connecting sounds ok. Anybody else having this problem?

Yeah but as a Dell reseller, their est ship/receive datas have never ever ever been correct. They always promise low and deliver high.

Get the latest IDT audio driver. The previous versions took out all the bass from the external audio unless you disabled the internal speakers.

    Hi guys!

I am seriously considering ordering a Latitude E6400. I would like a battery that doesn't "stick out" from the back. I know that the 4-cell doesn't stick out, and that the 9-cell does, but does the 6-cell battery stick out or not?

    Thanks in advance!
