Easy. Remove one screw, take bottom off computer. Remove a screw to remove the existing wireless card. Put in new card, etc.

See the E6400 Serive Manual on the Dell support site for step-by-step instructions.

You can replace the card pretty easy - check dell support site for manuals (should be just one screw for the bottom cover). Tricky part might be getting the mini version of a wireless card.

Finally some pictures of the Regatta Blue on my friend's Dell Latitude E6400.

I edited the color balance in these photos to make sure they matched what I see in person. The paint is very reflective, so the color depends a lot on the brightness of the room. You can see this in the color difference between flash and no flash.

Very nice deep blue color Nautikal ! congratulations to the new machine ! Hope you enjoy as much as i do.

Anyone have a problem with the logo on the lid [back side of the display] ?

when i got my machine i try to clean [wipe it] with a small soft microfiber textile tissue . The result is that the Chrome of the E from Dell is gone :-(
The Chrome is so sharp that it hangs on the textil and i wipe it away.

    Now my D E L L logo read like D C L L - its not that important but annoying
~ if the laptop is close then you look at the logo too.

Man, FINALLY some actual photos of a Regatta Blue Dell. I believe that these are the only ones on the entire web! Thank you!

I have not been happy with the sound from my E6400. I have not had the clicking etc. that others have had, but the sound is just too squeaky; it gives me a headache. I have done everything including trying IDT drivers from the HP site that include a graphical equalizer (they wouldn’t load). The native windows drivers seem the best but the sound is still worse than my 5 year old Inspiron 8100 and my old IBM T40. I think this is a problem with the small speakers that Dell seems to be using on all their new laptops (there are others who are unhappy with their XPS etc). I think it is such a shame as the E6400 is the best laptop I have seen in ages and combined with the Dell complete care with theft and accident damage it is unbeatable and the LED screen is the best. I am reluctant to say, but I am going to send it back. In the UK the only other light-weight laptops with LED screens are Sony and Macbooks. I like to swap my hard drive for work and play etc. so the Sony is not an option, so I think I will get a Macbook and put Windows on it.
If anyone from Dell reads this forum, please take note of what people are saying.

I don't understand how you can complain about the quality of the speakers. It's a laptop. If you want good portable sound quality, use the headphone out, a 9v powered amplifier, and some nice headphones.

I accept what you say but I would still like to use it to watch films etc. while travelling without carrying extra speakers. With my other laptops, although they were not great they were very useable.

They aren't speakers, they are tweeters!

I agree that the designers could have done better, although I'm not sure how they could have fitted anything bigger. I'm sure there is potential to tweak the IDT driver to improve the quality of the internal audio. Someone went over the top with filtering out the low frequency audio.

Personally, I always travel with portable speakers (currently these) for playing my MP3 player, but they also mean I can get acceptable audio quality from my notebook.
