a driver can fix the touchpad delay? I figured it was a hardware limitation.

No, it's all in the driver. If you uninstall the driver the touchpad is much more responive, but much slower movement and no scrolling.

Thanks for the tip but the link appears to be dead. I tried it at work this afternoon and it worked but it's showing an error now. Is there another way to contact chris M at dell?

Latest IDT Audio Driver - Vista 32-bit on Dell E6500
    Hi Guys,
I recently installed the latest Audio driver from Dell's site and it solved the 50% CPU problem caused by the previous A04 driver.
Latest one is Audio IDT 92HDxxx A05 v.6.10.0.6124.DRVR_WIN_R206244.EXE

After a few days I found that occassionally I would get a pop-up saying host process failed and there won't be any sound for a while. After that the sound comes back!
    Kinda irritating.
    Anybody has this problem?

    Hey fellas!

I recently uninstalled the IDT driver (from the "remove programs" link in Control Panel --> Programs and Features). Sound became clearer, and so far (about 6 hours of use) no 50% CPU used and no sound clicks. For anyone with sound problems and that has not tried this, I recommend.

I think that today I will try to burn a DVD. Some people seem to be having problems with that, and I should investigate to see if it's working properly.

    I have the following doubt:

I've read that NVS 160m can output 1920x1200 digital, and I'm thinking about buying an LG-M2394D-PZ (23" monitor with 1920x1080 resolution).

If I connect the e6400 with the LG monitor by displayport-HDMI, could I view 1920x1080 resolution in the monitor?

    Thank you!

hmm, the link is still working for me, but let me give you a link to chris M directly. http://en.community.dell.com/members/DELL_2D00_Chris-M/default.aspx that should allow you to PM him.

Certainly. Even my Intel X4500 can do 1080p on my HDTV.
