To clean the laptop (physically), microfiber cloth and distilled water work for both keyboard and screen?

I don't want my fingers/grease to ruin the appearance of this sleek machine.:D

Just wipe it off with a damp cotton cloth. It doesn't have to be distilled water or tiny fibers... just clean and softer than the softest laptop material... cotton.

Are you using the Dell Webcam Central software? If so, the default resolution is 640 x 480 pixels (suitable for video) but if you press the down-arrow symbol to the orange "snap" button under the picture you can select resolutions up to 2048 x 1538.

Does anyone have problem in reading the pictures from the SD Card? My file explorer will freeze when reading pictures from the folder. I can navigate to the folder but when I click on the picture file, the folder window will freeze.

If I use a USB adapter for the SD card. Everything works.

Could it be a driver issue?

Don't know. Have you tried uninstalling the device and rebooting to install it again? Is the installed driver the latest from Dell.com chipset downloads? Try another SD card in the laptop slot? Inspect the slot for debris?

Is there any drivers one must install for a backlit keyboard? Isn't there a function key that adjusts the brightness of the backlight? Does it detect it automatically?

Clarification: ControlPoint System Manager. Once it is installed then Fn + cursor right will step through On, Off and Auto (controlled by the ambient light sensor) and Fn + F7 will get you to the Dell ControlPoint software and the Keyboard Backlight page will allow you to adjust (i) the backlight timeout and (ii) the backlight brightness.

    I have a e6510 with a i5 520M cpu, AND nvidia video card.

I want to upgrade to a quad core, possibly 720qm. I think the motherboards are different for quad-core cpu's? The specs for the motherboard say :

    PCI-Express 16 Gen1 (for 620M, 540M, or 520M processors)
    PCI-Express 16 Gen2 (for 920XM, 820QM, or 720QM processors)

    Documentation

Which would justify the option for 'nvidia for dual core' or 'nvidia for quad-core' when ordering a system on their webpage.

So anyone knows if a dual-core MB will support a quad core?
