The Dell guy on NBR says the SSDs aren't really replaceable since they use Samsung's slim SSDs (smaller than 1.8") and I don't know any other company that has that form factor...

My day to day use of the Z has been absolutely great. Of course I only use this PC for work since it won't run many games but overall it's a good experience.

I have the extended battery which makes the laptop a bit heavier but the battery life is about 4 hours with an external screen, wifi on with the following software running: itunes for music playing at a low volume, peachtree (an accounting software), excel, outlook, and photoshop. All applications running perfectly without lag.

As far as the length and width of the laptop I have posted my measurements at the beginning of my thread.

    Hope this helps.

The memory is not replaceable on the Z600. The SSD is going to be hard to replace as the whole PC is not easily taken apart and not many manufacturers make 1.8" SSD.

No reason to take this beauty apart. It's not a gaming PC.

Joebarchuck, have you opened your Z600 up to confirm it's 1.8" in size and not Samsung's slim SSD? That would be great news if it is 1.8"!

Doesn't look like 1.8" either :( I can't even tell what type of connector that is... Guess it is the slim type?

This appears to me to be a 1.8" SSD without the case.

The Latitude E4200 also uses an SSD without a case. It might be the same part. It makes sense that computers designed for SSDs with no HDD option don't need the extra size and weight of an SSD with a case.
