    Do you have or know the standard 1.8" size/connector? While it does look like the 1.8" without a case, this is what the Samsung slim type SSD should be. I guess you would have to determine height clearance to see if a regular 1.8" would fit. Here are the specs for the different Samsung SSDs:

    I'm glad that there are other manufacturers that use this slim SSD size (if the notebook has only enough height/depth for these drives).

    The drive looks to be a 2.5" without the case.

    I ordered a Z with 2x128gb's on Sunday. If they are indeed this size, I'll strip the casing off my OCZ Vertex Turbo drives and try to replace them.

    I'm still doubtful, but we will see.

    Also, I can't get a solid answer on whether the machine will allow RAID 0 on the internal drives. If it can be done, I'll try it. Should make for fun a holiday project.

    Sorry guys I have not found the time to take apart the latitude Z600. I hope to be able to do it after the holidays.
