Yes, this forum is very active.
Ok, so it must be normal.

For all those people who are getting reboots without a blue screen:

Windows 7 is set by default to restart automatically. To change this right click on My Computer, select Properties.
    Select Advanced System Settings.
Click Settings from the startup & recovery section and uncheck Automatically restart.

You will now see your blue screens. Blue Screen Viewer is a helpful app for those troubleshooting BSOD's. A google search will lead you to it.

I have already done this. For me, the machine simply shuts down (not a reboot) and upon restarting I receive the warning messages about it not being cleanly shutdown.

Sounds like a thermal event/heat issue in that case, but I can't be sure. Where is the laptop usually at when this happens?

I also have had a lot of BSODs as well as random shut downs for no apparent reason. I have tested the RAM extensively and individually for hours at a time and found one faulty module, which I replaced with one I know is fine but still the same problem and different error codes. This morning it happened and all I had open was Outlook and IE. I have also run full diagnostics and all is well there. All drivers, BIOS etc are up to date.

Well, we got the replacement M6600 today. It's a refurb, but in a real nice cosmetic condition.

The one I will send back is a "new" one, with a bad video card, BUT it has a AUO panel, whereas the one today has the :
    LP173WF1 173WF1 Dell part VCV1F, hardware LGd02DA.

Better than Che Mei for sure, but I prefer the AUO..
    bah! humbug!

Did anyone compared m6600 IPS vs HP 8760W Dreamcolor 2 display?
Maybe the IPS/ Dreamcolor 2 on m6600/HP 8760W is the same panel as offered in their desktop screens?
    Thanks/

I was surprised too. They sent it overnight via Fedex. The are supposed to replace it with the same or better, and quite frankly, a LG panel is not the same or better than a AUO panel.
