Is there any way to manually correct those issues to eliminate the flickering? I am not quite sure what exactly all of that stuff means, :)

Also, is this an issue with both the Philips panel on both Nvidia and ATI cards?

    Thanks!

Lesson learned. Dell must hire 80 year olds to QC the screens for flicker acceptance. And dell engineers and technicians also need to be better educated to inform customers/users.

I can only speak for ATI, which does flicker with the LG. Supposedly the A01 panel doesn't flicker but my last replacement had one and it most definitely flickered :/

That's not exactly helpful. I understand that you hate Dell or are upset at them, but posting stuff constantly bashing them is not solving anything either.

Honestly, I must admit that Dell does not get things right all the time. Compared to other pc makers, it is superior in a lot of ways for sure, but for their high end models, they are literally missing what Apple has been doing so well: attention to detail and thriving for its perfection.

If Dell was perfect however, literally it will be at where Apple is. Some multinational corporations fails to expand properly due to inefficient bureaucracy and Dell is an example. But it could all just be to save costs.

Don't get me wrong. I totally agree. I have honestly had more things go WRONG when dealing with Dell than I have had go right. Their customer service isn't very good either, mainly because the people don't know how to speak English very well, so that only complicates matters. My point is simply that if people come here seeking answers, continually bashing the crap out of Dell in response to a question isn't going to help matters. Especially when the same thing is being said over and over again.

For those who are interested, I bought 32gb of Supertalent ram from Superbiiz for about $250. It is installed and working inside the m6600.

The IPS panel is nice though I personally would have liked a glossy panel or something like the glass apple puts on its cinema displays.

I have never disagreed more with a post in my life. This makes me want to ask for proof that you actually have an IPS display. Makes me question your appreciation of color rendition. Makes me question your very sense of taste and quality. Not kidding here - I own the IPS display and fully understand how good it is. I am reduced to the most vulgar and simple of phrases - W T F ???

My employee just rearranged her office around the terrible glare on a 27" cinema display. Why would anyone who cares about their work want a glossy display? How does glare help your output? Glossy = glare-master.

Seriously. This cant be what you are thinking and saying.

Actually, I am sorry. Its your money. You buy the machine that works for you.

I don't hate dell. In spend alot in Dell, which is why I complain. I only buy top of the range Dells for my work.

In Malaysia, their service makes up for their lack in quality (sometimes).

They do noticed when I am really upset, and they actually gave me a whole unit replacement even after almost a year of using. Replacing my m6500 covet which I purchased at RM13,300 (USD4,433) with a new model m6600 that costs RM16,800 (USD5,600).

Try out ideastorm.com, a website created by dell to listen and will/may adopt your ideas to improve their product.
