It fits really snuggly. I use it a lot when carrying it across campus with my M6600. It just has a tiny bit of space between the top part of the sleeve and the top edge of the laptop, but there isn't any give or wiggle though when you are carrying it.

Understood. My original point was that the Dell Data Protection is slow as hell when using fingerprint authentication but it is super quick with the Control Point only setup I posted.

Mine is super slow as well as being unreliable (or is that very secure), so I may try to see if I can install Control Point to see if I can get it to work better.

Don't install control point. I made a mistake once by install Control Point and Data Protection Access at the same time on my 2nd gen precision.

    Security went crazy.

Looks like 3.5kg is going to be approx 5kg with
+ 750 GB HDD on dvd caddy (150-200g)
    + 2 x SSD (75g each)
    + 1 x msata (60g)
    + 1 x 240 watt adaptor (1.2kg)

Exclusing files & papers, mouse, backpack-trolley, sleeve case, accessories, portable hard-disk. Total in all in could come up to 6kg.

    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/wsm6600/en/sfits/sfits_en.pdf

Caught their misrepresentation, dell manual published it 3.42kg with 6 cell battery (page 9) and they also contradict themselves by saying page 8, dell m6600 only supports 9 cell battery !

You have the link on the sleeve case you got ? Will check it out.

I would say don't install Data Protection Access. It barely works while the control point software and drivers have been working great for me.

What I was saying is for Gen2 Precision Control Point Security Manager (with Embassy Suites) works fine as well as DDPA (Dell Data Protection Access). Just don't install both at the same time on Gen2.

Now with Gen3 Precision (m6600), you can only install DDPA.

If don't have the FingerPrint reader then don't install DDPA. Else don't order the m6600 with FingerPrint reader coz it will be a waste of $$$.

Anyone here has got the 3G Sim-Card module for the m6600 ? How much does it cost ? Works on any mobile 3G provider ?

Direct link to the dell accessories page would do. Coz I can't seem to find it.

Not true, I used DDPA initially on my m6600 it worked poorly. Recently re-imaged my machine & installed control point & no DDPA. Fingerprint reader now works great. Your experience may be different than mine with DDPA on a m6600 but you can install control point instead and in my opinion it works great.

Seems like dell's documentation has got error or they are trying to transition to their new product.

May take some time for dell to fix DDPA. Control Point has been around for sometime.
