So going back on my question with the 90 watt ac adapter. I bought a "genuine" one off amazon (fulfilled by amazon even) but when plugged in, the bios (or whatever you call the screen when you press the del key) doesn't know what kind of adapter it is. Just says unknown. It properly detects my original 240w along with my friend's official 130w. Performance felt like I was on battery, or worse while plugged in (slightly laggy while browsing firefox). I'm assuming this means it's not actually genuine.

If I pick up the official dell 90 watt ac adapter for the 70 bucks or so, do you think everything should be detected correctly?

Guys, is there a cooling pad you would recommend above all others for the m6600?
I don't want to buy another one that breaks.

I use the targus X stand, just a simple foldable alum stand for natural airflow.

You should be able to get a used one off of here for cheap...

Check your local PC scrappers. You should be able to get the 130+w ones for cheap...

Destinatus did it with a 580m back in August, but he never got it to work properly.

    Bryon,

You can see discussions of coolers on the Accessories section of the forum. There is a sticky thread devoted to them.

Because Micro Center had a Cooler Master NotePal U2 on sale (no U3 on display), I have been using this model for more than a month.

To keep the M6600 from sliding off the front, I added a 3 1/8" x 7" Simpson Strong Tie TP37 construction plate. Two small screws connect the plate (using existing holes) to the U2; two 1 1/4" screws serve as bumpers for the M6600. Electrical tape around the screws and plate lowers the possibility of scratching the M6600 or the table/desk.

    NotePal U3 (420 x 320 x 65 mm; 16.53 x 12.59 x 2.56 inches) is just slightly wider than the M6600.

    U2 model is 343 x 266 x 58.6 mm; 13.50 x 10.5 x 2.3 inches) is sturdy enough to hold the M6600 on a flat surface.

I would not recommend using either the U2 or U3 directly on your lap.

    Hello, I bought M6600 with Quadro 3000M.
Is this card enough for Gaming and does it Overclock well?
I heard that Quadro 4000 is great for OC, how about its weaker brother?

The Quadro 3000M is the least-powerful card available in the M6600 as far as gaming is concerned. Even the cheaper ATi card performs better.

I imagine that you can overclock it a good amount (like the 4000), thanks to the overkill cooling solution in the M6600; that should help some.
