Scott, do you know if the 3rd gen intel processors work with the M6600? I know they are the same socket as 2nd gen.

What about Corsair Force Series 3 or Corsair Neutron Series? Both are on sale for a decent price at newegg, they're a bit more than I want to spend but for the extra storage space I think they might be worth it, but only if the drives themselves are of good quality.

The Corsair Force is OK, but not as snappy as the Crucial or Samsung... what size are you looking for and what is your budget?

I'm looking for at least 120-128GB but I'd prefer larger if it's within my price range. I'm looking to spend $100 or less, but I'm willing to go a little over for something like 240-256GBs.

Also I decided to go with the Corsair Vengeance RAM, though it's $95 on Amazon (plus free Amazon Prime shipping), but I couldn't find it for cheaper anywhere else, so if anyone knows where I can get it for cheaper (including shipping and all that) please let me know, otherwise I'm gonna order this RAM in the next 10 hours.

    $87.99 Vengeance RAM: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8G) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10

$93.99 Samsung 128GB SSD: Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC128B/WW 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Good 240+GB SSD's are going to be above $150 used and average around $200-$220 new. I have a 256GB M4 I can let go, but I would want at least $160.

The RAM from newegg is only cheaper initially, but they charge tax while amazon doesn't so that evens out the price (newegg only be about 62 cents cheaper). So I'm gonna go with amazon I guess, Prime will make it so it arrives just in time before I have to start doing some intensive work that my current computer cant handle.

As for the hard drive, I suppose I'll go with the Samsung as I hear good stuff about that drive and I do like the company (though lately I've been hating my phone which they made). And your offer is tempting, $160 isn't too bad for a good 256GB SSD, even if used, but I'm gonna stick with something new for now. Once my laptop is used up itself I'll feel more willing to add used up parts in it. Thanks again for all your help Scott. I really appreciate it. I'll probably be back again sometime next week looking for help writing the OS to the new solid state drive. I've only used images a few times, and I don't recall ever installing an OS from an old backup image before so it's still somewhat new to me.
