Yep, these newer 6 and 7 series chipsets are good to go and do not care.

Your specific CPU with the H/QM67 chipset will handle up to 32GB of 1333MHz DDR3. You would need a 27xx/28xx/29xx series processor to reach 1600MHz and the ability to use more than 16GB at that higher frequency.

Okay, I just got my computer, I installed the RAM and I'm running into some issues. When I run a ePSA assessment once it gets to memory it gives me this:

    Error Code 2000-0123
    Validation 9627
Msg: Memory - integrity test discrepancy.

I looked it up online and could only find suggestions to remove the memory then place it back in. I did this, nothing apparently changed. Help?

Have you tried each memory stick on its own and in different slots to confirm which stick, if any, is causing the error?

I was actually about to do that after I read some more information. I'm really hoping my new ram isn't bad -_- But it'd be worse if the ram slots on the computer are messed up.

First stick passed, but the test kinda froze at 98% and then said 100% after I hit escape so I did it again, second time it failed, same error message. Testing the second stick, different slot to see how it goes. After this test I'm gonna juggle around slots to see if the issue is the ram, or if it's the slots, or if it's just the computer.

UPDATE: I am completely lost. I did a diagnostic with one 8GB ram and the 2GB ram it came with. Did a diagnostic two or three times and it said it was fine. Added the other 8GBs to the back slot instead of the keyboard slot, did another 2-3 diagnostics. Was fine. Rebooted, the computer decided it needed to do a diagnostic itself and gave me the same old error again -_- I just don't know what to believe anymore.

UPDATE: Ugh, I'm an idiot! I figured out the problem, I'm running 1600MHz RAM which limits me to a max of 16GBs of RAM, so the 2GBs already in there is causing the error. What's worse is that means I could have saved a bit of money getting 4 DIMM instead of 2 or I could have gotten 1333MHz and had slightly more RAM over all. I recall thinking about this when planning to purchase the RAM and chose to go with the 16GBs at 1600MHz, yet apparently forgot that I should have gone with 4 DIMM. So much time lost...

Oh well, onto the next issue. making an image file to put onto the SSD. Going to look up information on that and hope it goes much smoother and that I don't make anymore stupid mistakes.

I have my system set up with the OS on a 256MN mushkin msata ssd drive. I have been experiencing lockups where the system goes unresponsive but the mouse still moves. A had determined that this occurred at some point after a resume from hibernate, and I was willing to forgo hibernate. Today the system has locked up 5 times in a few hours on fresh reboots. Research I have done suggests the ssd is the problem. The hard drive LED is usually stuck on during a freeze. Memory test shows no issues. Bios set to ahci. Is the problem the sandforce controller, and is there a known fix I could not find? No firmware update exists for this ssd. Anyone have any advice?
The return date for the drive is rapidly approaching.
    Thanks

My tendency is to attribute these kinds of problems to Windows or Driver or both. Is the OS the factory image, clean reimage, was it cloned? If the drive is bad then how good is the current image if the drive is exchanged and then image restored?

It's probably easier to swap out hardware, and the time frame for RMA is shortening. But this might only prolong the headache and consume more energy.

Not that hardware isn't bad it's just very hard to diagnose circuits and there's also just plain incompatibility.

Forgot to add this. Here's something to try:

If has nVidia Optimus - Disable.
    Disable Windows Search.
If has Anti-Virus - Disable Realtime.
    Rename file setup.etl to setup.old - In C:\Windows\Panther
    Restart

If System Reserved partition isn't installed then Hibernate resume usually fails after an elapsed time.
