This looks like a very slick laptop, I hope they will improve the 13 inch vostro series soon since 15 inch is too big for my needs.

it seems 1366 x 768 is the new standard. at least that's the case for HP's probook s series as well.

anyway, my top contenders are: t410, vostro 3xxx, hp probook s series, and macbook pro. hopefully the reviews start coming! my friend will be getting a t410 either today or tomorrow so i will be checking to see how that works out.

The heck... the new Vostro's seem to have a 34mm express card slot instead of 54mm. What am I going to use for my smart card reader once I get this new "business" laptop...

The 13" (469€ without taxes), 15" (419€) and 17" (644€) just appeared on dell Belgium too. They start at very reasonable prices with the i3 (i5 for the 17").

Of course, the bad news is the shift from 16/10 to 16/9 (with only 1366/768 for now on 15"). It had to be expected though. The new design looks much better.

What is interesting is that the 3700 can be configured with C2D too. Maybe we'll see good prices on the old line in the month to come :)

Another strange thing... they're advertised with Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD and not the new integrated gpu ???

edit: nevermind, the specs sheet is correct on this: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD

1366/768 expected, yes (as seen from almost all laptop providers).

Liked, no. 768 vertical pixels on a 15" laptop is a joke. On us :(
