New Dell Vostro lineup

For those interested, I just talked to a Dell customer service rep about the Vostro 3700 and the screen resolution. They confirmed the web site is a typo and the real resolution is 1600x900.

I told her they better hurry and fix it, as they're losing sales because of the listed 1366x768 resolution.

Ha, no, I neglected to get that vital piece of information . I'll see what I can do -- will try to get in touch with the sales rep I talked to before.

 

Hi Delite74 - all the dell US reps have been unanimously telling me the screen is a matte finish in the US so i'm pretty sure its matte finish, i think the resolution was where there was a lot of discrepancy

 

I want to replace the Optical Drive on New Dell Vostro 3700 with a 12.7mm Blu Ray Burner like this: http://www.sony-optiarc.us/upload/pdfs/products/BD-5730S_Datasheet.pdf. Will it fit into a New Dell Vostro 3700? Will this be difficult to swap?

 

Hi ms960, I wanted to know if you ever ended up ordering the Vostro 3700, and if so, if in fact the resolution is 1600x900? The chat reps are still giving out conflicting information on the resolution.

Or has anyone else bought a Vostro 3700 from Dell USA and know the resolution?

 

No, I still haven't purchased one yet. I did confirm it does have a 1600x900 screen, so their website is incorrect.
