I5-520M/310M combo should come with Optimus autoswitching graphics. I would think the battery life should be good. If you look at the configuration page for the 3300, only the I5-520M can be ordered with the 310M. The I3's only come with integrated graphics. The I5-520 with a 310M moderately configured is in the $1,200 range. The UL30JT will probably undercut that price by a couple of hundred dollars. Still, I like the look of the 3300. I like the backlit keyboard. I hope this means that a 13" studio XPS (I5/I7 & better GPU) is around the corner.

We have used Dell exclusively in my small office for the past 10 years. My old Vostro 1500 is still in service and hasn't given us a hint of a problem. Replaced a battery and power adapter this year and it works like new. I have not been happy with the lack of development of the Vostro line and have been looking at a Sony Z or the Acer 3820T as a replacement for my old 1500. The 3300 got my attention. I think its a bit too little (310M) a bit too late. Now if there was a new 13 Studio XPS with a GT 330M or better in a 1.8lb package, I would have to give that serious consideration.

Even though it's a business-line but no digital video output on the V3300 is a no-go. The V3400 looks really nice. Probably get one for my wife. Any dates when the first will be shipped? We're leaving overseas on the 04/30 so have to get two laptops till then.

The pricing is insane on those things for now. Dell Belgium offers 120€ on all vostro.

A 3500 with i3-350m, Intel HD IGP, 320go/78200rpm, 3go RAM, bluetooth, goes for 615€ tax and shipping included, with the extended 3years NBD onsite warranty. 581€ with i3-330m and no bluetooth.

It's the same price as the vostro 1520 with the t6670 and 4500hd (but the 1520 has the wxga+).

I would run for it except... they only offer the Dutch version, not the French one :(

I had a Vostro 1400 for 18-months, seeemed OK, good value for money and it was built better than the equivelent Inspiron.
