I'm guessing we're weeks away from an announcement. Then it will be several weeks before anybody can actually get one. Just my perception anyways.

    latitude 13 is coming:
Described by Dell as "the world's thinnest 13-inch commercial client laptop," the Latitude 13 offers business-orientated features such as remote management from a Citrix client, VMware virtualisation software, and a number of system management tools including Dell's own remote imaging service, Dell ImageDirect.

But, from the look of it, it has a non-business orientated extra-wide display.

    I'd prefer to call it a non-business orientated not-at-all-high-enough display. :(

Surely this isn't going to replace the E4300?

Whats the shelf on the back for? or is it just trying to hide the fact they've kept the same footprint size and chopped half an inch of the top of the screen.....hinging it an inch inboard so you don't get to look at so much bezel with its all new business featured DVD watching display.

On a lighter note about sebs Johnny Cash avatar, apparently his family declined the use of his song, "Ring of fire", to be used by an advertising company to market haemorrhoid relief products...can't say I blame them, would of been pretty funny though...and is a very catchy tune.

I fell in to a burning ring of fire
    I went down,down,down
    and the flames went higher.
    And it burns,burns,burns
    the ring of fire
    the ring of fire.

Can you imagine it....would have gone well with sebs avatar on the box of their products..:D

Hehehe, funny. On the other hand. No, the L13 is not going to replace the E4300 as there is a "E4310 Lafite" in the parts db.

Sorry, checking every morning with my "source". Alot of stuff filling in the db but nothing on motherboard/screen etc. To sum it up:

    Core i7 and core i5
    1333 Mhz RAM
SSD drives up to 256 GB
    quadro fx 880 and 1800 ( my guess )
    intel 6300 wireless

Keyboard is same partnumber as for the M4400, so I really hope for only a "internal" refresh, and we get to keep the 16:10 screens.
