New Latitude and Precision's

    for me the best is

    - rgbled display
    - no optical drive
    - m6500 design
    - fx880 fx1800 ati m7740 ati m5800
    - number key pad
    - big touchpad like m6500
    - i5 , i7 cpu
    - usb 3.0
    - sata and esata 3


    but forme it comes with

    - i5 , i7 cpu
    - optical drive
    - m4400 design
    - no key number pad
    - rgb display , same as m4400
    - fx880 , fx1800
    - usb 3.0

    Yeah i would love to see the design of the M6400 / M6500 in a 15" size, would look very sleek i think.

    Oh my... I hope that's just marketing BS and under the hood they didn't really start optimizing for certain resolutions / aspect ratios... :(

    As more I read, more I believe that the world is mainly divided between those who despise 16:9 and those who just don't care. Few are enthusiastic about 16:9. So why not keep 16:10 and make happy the maximum number of consumers?

    because we cant really do anything about it, and the companies save money (but still charge the same).

    as it is, standard definition 16:10 is quite annoying to view documents with, 16:9 is really really annoying. Its like looking at a word document through a letterbox.

    full HD displays are more bearable, but i still prefer my WUXGA 16:10

    Isn't it the problem that the 16:9 panels are cheaper to manufacture? As afhstingray allready said, the companies will make more money with 16:9 panels. As long as the consumer don't stop buying them it won't change....

    The evidence doesn't really mean anything IMO. In no way is it optimized for 15.6" screen...
