    Dear Revit users,

Jun Austria gave me the authorisation to upload his Revit file to test it.

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4G36O2EL

It is an interior scene with artificial lights.

If you go to the "3D View 1" and render the scene with this setting:
    Quality "High"
    Resolution "Printer" at 150DPI
    Lighting "Interior:Artificial Only"

we will be able to compare the different configurations and find a solution concerning the CPU before a new BIOS version.

For info: the minimum render time was 20min02 on my system.

Sorry for the numerous posts from yesterday but I am still looking for a solution to optimize my investment.
I am not a Computer Engineer or IT Pro just a little architect.

    Gradx,

Do you have an idea why the WEI Graphics is "only" 6.9 with the FX3800?

    Thanks

I think the most likely reason is no DX11 support.

Second possible reason is that WEI is a random load of b******s. There is no comprehensive chart of WEI scores for graphics cards (that I am aware of) for this reason.

According to Dell USA the delays are on the RGB screen not on the 1600mhz memory.

new control point update on Dell UK website for Win 7 released yesterday. Didnt check for other OS's though, so might be also. Slotload dvd firmware seems to be the same as the one my DVD already has.

Forget it...just checked and they are not updates as such, but I guess just now made available for users who need to reinstall. Basically they are the same versions as are already on the laptop as it comes from the factory, at least on mine anyway :)

    Sorry about that

    Cheers

I realize you wouldn't buy one an m6500 for battery life, but I'm still curious - what kind of battery life do people see after about 2-3 charge cycles?

It was roughly 90 minutes yesterday, with keyboard backlight on, brightness at 75% and WLAN, setting up vmwares (IO nearly the whole time).

@M6500 owners: does your display "beep" (make a silent, but noticeable light sound) too in some brightness settings?

Apparently you can adjust the brightness in 15 steps (lets say 15 is 100% brightness): mine makes this sound in 14, 13, 11, 8,7,6, 4 and 3.

So: at full brightness and minimum brightness is doesn't make this sound (it's the same with power adapter or using battery).
