I think we should defer to Keith as the final word on color issues. I am just an IT person at a decent sized University who takes 4 or 5 paying photo gigs a year. He lives and breathes photos and color and I very much respect what he says. Now that Keith has his M6500 I think he will be our best set of eyes on the display panel.

Ha, I received an email this morning that my delivery date has been pushed back another 7 days from the Feb 10th to the 17th.

I'm in no major rush. But I did begin looking around at HPs website this morning and a few others... just incase I wanted to take these delays as an opportunity to get something else. But after looking at a few other systems I think I'm going to wait this one out :)

Well I'm really starting to questoin if this system is even worth it. I just finished building an Alienware m17x with even better specs than what I built my m6500 and it is the same price if not cheaper and comes with the same screen and the Dual 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 4870 in CrossfireX™ graphic card.

This system clearly looks like a better buy anf it even comes with a HDMI plugin which I am still trying to figure out why the m6500 doesn't.

    Any thoughts?

The alienware are great laptops. But just on its looks alone, it isn't the right one for me especially since I'll be using it 100% as business laptop. The specs are awesome on it though for an entertainment/personal/gaming machine.

No, I'm perfectly fine waiting for the m6500. There are some issues but that is normal (with the exception of Giannini's horror story :( ) . I think it is just such a high end system that owners/potential buyers/critics look at it with a much much higher magnification under the microscope :) rightly so. But I don't think there is a finer machine out there right now. That upcoming HP sounds pretty nice though.
