But this is just a decal? the palm rest itself is still just the sheet of aluminium that is part of the case? So if I removed the decal, there would be no way to know it was there?

    - Thank You.

I see a release of 1/21/2010, 6.10.0.6261, A13. Is this the same A rev you have?

May I assume this includes the extreme edition processor version which will have USB 3.0 also? I am just about to place an order for a Covet with the 920XM, if waiting a couple of weeks would get me USB 3.0 also, I would much prefer to wait.

    Thank You.

Correct it is just a decal. We had complaints from M6400 customers that they didn't like it permanently etched into the palmrest. For this reason we put a removable decal there. Some people want it permanent others want a removable decal. Can't make everyone happy. :)

I wish I would have checked back here before installing the OS.
    Thanks for the heads up.
Just updated. Looks like it added full garbage collection and TRIM support now.
My ASSSD benchmarks looks about the same so thats good that it did not effect performance.

Sorry to keep asking but when it is installing it is a 2 part process. The first part is the unpacking of the driver software after download. The second part is the install. Is it going through 2 steps?
(Sorry about this question but I just want to ensure that it is going thru the whole process and not just stopping after the unpacking)

Its better that it is not etched. That annoys me on the E series and M6400s. Namely when you don't have the reader. So good choice.

yes. it installed. it came with that driver and it also went through the process of reinstalling the driver (after it was unpacked).

I also reinstalled the 1510 driver in case this was causing the issue.
